By changing the switch position, you can slice at three thickness levels: about 0.8 mm, about 1.5 mm, and about 2.0 mm.
About 0.8mm thick:For shredded cabbage or onion slices in salads
About 1.5mm thick:For round slices of carrot or cucumber in salads
About 2.0mm thick:For round slices of bell pepper on pizza
It has a switch to retract the blade, allowing for safe storage.
